About this role
Investigate alerts and cases generated by transaction-monitoring and customer-monitoring systems.
Analyze customer profiles, transactional activity, counterparties, devices, payment methods, geographic exposure, and behavioral patterns.
Identify potential money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, sanctions, structuring, funnel-account activity, account takeover, and other financial-crime risks.
Conduct Customer Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence reviews.
Prepare clear, complete, and well-supported investigation narratives.
Support the preparation and filing of Unusual Activity Reports, Suspicious Activity Reports and other regulatory reports, when applicable.
Review activity across merchant acquiring, cards, ACH, account funding, withdrawals, transfers, and other JIM products.
Use SQL, dashboards, spreadsheets, and analytical tools to investigate cases and identify emerging risk patterns.
Support the development and improvement of AML rules, scenarios, thresholds, controls, and monitoring models.
Perform quality-control reviews and help ensure investigations meet internal and regulatory standards.
Document investigative decisions, supporting evidence, and risk-based conclusions.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to translate regulatory requirements into scalable controls.
Assist with requests from sponsor banks, auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
Identify process gaps and propose improvements through automation, data analysis, and artificial intelligence.
Stay current on U.S. AML, CTF, sanctions, and financial-crime regulatory expectations.
